TRéBOLO ™ was inspired by similar hunting weapons with roots that go back over 50,000 years. Anywhere between 2 and 16 balls were attached to the ends of cords and were thrown at the prey with the hopeful outcome being that the device would ensnare or tangle the animal or bird and allow the hunter to capture it.

Capt. Acorn (our head game designer) was messing around with some balls and cords one day. He was trying to figure out how to make a Bola which would fly good and discovered that you could do other cool tricks by tugging and twirling your Bola like it was a yo-yo, especially if all the balls weren't held in one place.

After a lot of trial and error, Capt. Acorn got the right mix of size, materials and technique and the first TRéBOLO ™ was born!
